Trick Questions

Questions for Sarah Palin
Remember that irritating kid in class who would never put his hand down?

It was Peter Hamm. Who knew one day that would also be his favorite salute? Well, maybe the kids he told on...

I do wish Governor Palin (I note your tactical use of her first name, Petey. Oh, wait, you threaten to shoot people who call you that, don't you?) would answer this question the way I would:
What did you mean when you described "attacks on our Second Amendment rights" as equivalent to gangs and drug use as something that would "harm family life?" ...Does this include efforts by groups like the Brady Campaign...

But it being politics and all, I don't expect she will.

What the Brady subversives are doing, of course, aside from desperately trying to claim relevance, is throwing a wrench into the gun owner mix. They're hoping she won't dare say anything disagreeing with John McCain. And they're hoping the harder core will be upset by that. Alternatively, if she does, they can exploit that, too.

It's only a win-win for them if we give it to them.

I haven't come out and embraced Palin. I do agree she is interesting and there are things about her I like. In truth, I don't think she has the needed experience to be president, but then, I don't think any of the candidates do--and from what I've seen she's got 'em all beat.

I think the smart thing for her to do here is just ignore Hamm. And I think the smart thing for us to do is not let him spark a fire that he can then sit back and enjoy.

The Kosmissar Vanishes

We've seen this phenomenon before. It's what wreched commies do when their own history embarrasses them.

The Daily Kos has deleted the pages where they accused Sarah Palin of being her son's grandmother.

Look:

Fortunately, there is still Google cache. I suggest interested parties grab the information while they can.

Plan B

If McCain wins, look for a full-fledged race and class war...

Fatimah Ali said it.

I believe it.

That settles it.

We're the Only Ones Chaotic Enough

"Any time you have a gun in a situation, chaos ensues," says Lance.
Any time?

Except when it's your gun, right Sheriff? Because you're some kind of super "Only One" with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men...?

We're the Only Ones Joking Enough

Soldier 'shot comrade in the head after pointing gun at him as a joke' inside Saddam palace
Was he the "Only One" laughing?

Clinging to Submission

I purposely did not make eye contact, did not raise my voice...

A fine example of how those with power would like all of us to act if they're going to let us live...

Proven Effectiveness

The law bans the possession of firearms in schools and daycare centres and on public and school transportation.
You mean like at Columbine and Virginia Tech?

Pastor to Kids: Guns Kill

Thank goodness they do.

Can you imagine trying to stop a school shooter with one of Charlie Muller's gift cards?

People...People Who Assault People

GET ready for yet another Barbra Streisand comeback. The ultraliberal songbird says she's conferred with Barack Obama and would "absolutely consider" performing for him and the Democrats during the presidential race.
A true woman of the people.

Not that she actually trusts them.

Which is why she goes around with these guys.

We're the Only Ones Weighty Enough

Fat police weighing down patrol cars

Some police officers are so overweight they can only transport a single suspect in their overburdened squad cars.
And finally, monsieur, a wafer-thin mint.*

* Not for those offended by gross humor.

Navigating the Maze

Residents here who buy a gun to keep legally at home, now that the Supreme Court has overturned the city’s ban on handguns, will find that a bureaucratic maze leads them to an unmarked door on Good Hope Road Southeast where Charles W. Sykes Jr. does business.
While the ones who buy guns to keep and bear illegally will find a maze of alleys that lead them to any number of unmarked doors--where all they'll need is cash in hand.

And thing is, Sykes ain't the "Only One"...

Still, were I him, I'd be worried--all he needs is a few paperwork errors to have BATFU declare them "willful violations" and shut him down, along with the entire city.

I wonder if that's what everybody means by "reasonable restrictions"... ?

We're the Only Ones Agreeing to Disagree Enough

Protesters here in Minneapolis have been targeted by a series of highly intimidating, sweeping police raids across the city, involving teams of 25-30 officers in riot gear, with semi-automatic weapons drawn, entering homes of those suspected of planning protests, handcuffing and forcing them to lay on the floor, while law enforcement officers searched the homes, seizing computers, journals, and political pamphlets.
To all those who say the "yelling 'fire' in a crowded theater" analogy doesn't work because it involves no prior restraint on free speech, we say "Guess again, tovarish!"

We're the "Только одни" and we will tolerate no dissidence. Especially from the useful idiots who actually believe commie bs...

UPDATE: There may have been warrants, and a lot more going on, too. My commentary was predicated on the article being accurate and truthful.

Yeah, I know...

We're the Only Ones Beaming Enough

"I haven't carried my gun in 31 years, since I retired," Rich said, beaming as he passed the 40-round course using his Glock 38.
But because he's an ex-"Only One," he's more qualified than you and me.

We all buy that, right?

Unclean! Unclean!

We're the Only Ones Comradely Enough

A vocal critic of the Kremlin's policies in the Caucasus died Sunday from a bullet wound to the head while in police custody, Interfax reported, quoting prosecutors...

A source at Ingush police said the website founder had been detained as part of a criminal investigation and was being taken to a police station, Interfax reported.

"Along the way, a shot was involuntarily fired from a policeman's gun and the bullet hit Yevloyev's head," the source was quoted as saying.
Damned dissident bloggers who won't shut up deserve to end up with bullet-riddled bodies in a ditch. Then we can all live in a harmonious workers paradise free of annoying extremists.

And we can admire our heroic fearless leaders, who would never think of manipulating the masses with propaganda...

A Brilliant Observation

"When you have public land at your doorstep, there is a tendency to use it," Peapenburg said.
No kidding.

And I'm certain the same crowd that wants to ban all ATVs is the same one that wants you defenseless in parks. Which leads us to this:

With so much land to patrol, rangers often need more than an hour to respond to reports of vehicles in the thicket.
So if you needed one because your life was in immediate danger...

But as they continually remind us, green blood trumps red.

This Day in History: September 2

On this day in 1775, General George Washington commissioned Nicholson Broughton captain "in the Army of the United Colonies of North America." Broughton had a novel assignment: The Marblehead man was to be master of the Hannah, the first vessel in what has come to be known as "George Washington's Navy."
