The Missing Links

On Gun Rights Examiner, that is...

Some of you who have been kind enough to include the GRE page on your blogrolls may be wondering why no reciprocity.

It's not my fault, honest. I had categorized sidebar links, but among many other snafus with the site "upgrade", my established list has disappeared and I haven't been able to access the proper system tool to fix that for the past month.

This is among literally dozens of "improvements" I and others have written tech support tickets on, and all I can say is you should see what this mess looks like from our end.

Please be patient. Everything I can control I am controlling. As for the rest, I am screaming as often and as loudly as I can.

I just want you to know I'm not intentionally taking advantage of your recognition.

Just Give 'em What They Want--And No Anchovies

Police allege deliveryman was killed for $100, pizza
Two of three arrested are high school students [More]
I like the characterization of these reptiles as "high school students." Make's 'em sound just like Archie and Jughead.

Chalk another one up for longstanding Domino's policy!

At what point could the civil case be made that their management "knew or should have known" something like this would happen?

Speaking for myself, I could never patronize a business that callously puts human beings in harm's way. If a driver got hurt or killed during a delivery to me, I'd wonder if he'd still be OK if I only hadn't called...

I note they're soliciting photographs for their new ad campaign.

Here's a good one.

And here's another.

Child-abduction study finds capable kids are their own best defense [More]
So are capable adults.

That we even have to argue the point shows demonstrates the pervasive social insanity crippling our culture.

Share Your Story?

Is there a story to share?

Not the Founders' "Well Regulated Militia"

So how would you characterize this?

A latter day marque and reprisal contractor, or "a convenient way to bypass posse comitatus"?

And would you take orders from someone acting in either capacity?

We're the Only Ones Wounded Enough

A Diamondhead man who shot an off-duty police officer in the shoulder after the officer tried to stop his wife for a possible traffic violation won’t face charges, the Garland County prosecuting attorney said. [More]
You mean he was following official free citizens protocol and got away with it?

There's got to be a lot more to this story--it sounds like a case of out-of-control road rage from someone used to having his "authoritah" instantly produce cringing obeisance.

It also sounds like, if they rejected the "Only One's" story and did not prosecute the citizen, that he lied to an official police investigation.

It sounds like he should not only be fired, he should be prosecuted.

Unless what we're seeing is another example of that old double standard...

The Wrong Place to Shoplift

See, if we didn't have those mean old gun shows, this would never have happened.

They certainly do allow some unsavory punks into those places at times, don't they?

What Makes the Muskrat Guard His Musk?

Courage!

That's easy for the guys who control the guns to say. Maybe if they didn't make it so damn fraught with legal peril for someone who isn't an über-bürger...

FBI case shows government double standard on guns and freedom

New laws are the last thing we need--besides, they always seem only to apply to those of us targeted for control, with carve-out exemptions for the you-know-whos. [Read]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner column shows the difference between us and them. At least in their eyes.
