‘Crime gun’ trace map withholds key data needed to draw meaningful conclusions

Note the widget doesn't tell the whole story--and that's a calculated decision. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes there are lies, damned lies, and interactive maps prepared by public radio weenies with an agenda.

Affecting the Outcome

So can you, "friend."

Why won't you?

What was Ambassador Steven's role in the Gun Running?

Good question.  Not that this administration will want to answer. [Read]

I don't have any real faith the next one will, either, assuming the get in.

We're the Only Ones Securing the Blessings of Liberty Enough

Police are allowed in some circumstances to install hidden surveillance cameras on private property without obtaining a search warrant, a federal judge said yesterday. [More]
Why?

And I note this wretch was nominated by the "Vote Freedom First President."

The Smoking Gun

PJ Media picked up Matt Bracken's latest. [Read]

They Must Not Need Help All That Bad

Nonunion Ala. crews turned away from Sandy recovery [More]
The hell with 'em then.

When Human Targets Fight Back

"He felt like it was going to be easy especially when he saw me on oxygen and a woman. I can take her down, sorry," the victim said. [More]
Speaking of "sorry"...

Easy to Believe

Feds Let Mexican Cartel Hit Men Kill in U.S., Senior Lawman Told Stratfor [More
Isn't that something? I don't have a problem in the world believing that conclusion without even reading the article. Which I recommend you do.

And then watch this video about U.S. troops and the Mexican drug war.

Cause and Effect

Poverty causes gun crime [More]
Shoot. I wish my parents and immigrant grandparents had known about that moral "out" back in the Depression.  Heck, I even qualified back in college, when I was renting a closet in a house where my bed touched three walls, working a minimum wage part-time job and going to school full time.

What the Commie-in-Chief is saying is more than the moral equivalent of blaming rape victims for being attractive targets.  He's justifying savagery and evil.  He's approving it.

In the Docket

Leonard Embody's case... [More

Here's the cert petition.

Will SCOTUS elect to hear it? I know many on "our side" put the guy down for being provocative, and others are worried that it's not the right case at the right time and will set bad precedent, but really, since when are self-designated Second Amendment activists supposed to side with "Only Ones" taking any of the people hostage at gunpoint for simply bearing arms?

There's something to be said for knowing what limits the courts think can be imposed. You can't push them if you don't know exactly where they are.

It's a Howl

Howling for Wolves plans to protest outside DNR headquarters in St. Paul Friday and at Lake Superior Plaza West in Duluth Saturday. [More]
"Howling for Wolves."

That's almost as funny as "Adopt a Coyote."

Aloha Oe

This is the first time a sitting NRA president has ever visited Hawaii in an official capacity. The Forum is inviting everyone to this unique free opportunity to the talk on 2nd Amendment issues of importance to all citizens. [More]
Hey, somebody asked him why they cheesed out on putting the squeeze on Romney, and what that means about their commitment...

Shooting Destination Night

Precision long-range shooting tonight on American Trigger Sports Network...[Details]

No It Does Not Either

It goes against the Constitution, which gives me the right to keep and bear arms and that right shall not be infringed." [More]
I hate when people say that and others spread it.  A big and unnecessary part of the problem is that "The 2nd Amendment is my concealed carry permit" line popularized by Ted Nugent.

I know what they're trying to say, but that ain't the way to say it.

The Eye of the Storm

Perhaps scariest of all is how many were totally unprepared, totally clueless as to how to provide even the most basic of necessities for themselves, and how the “solution” articulated by their leadership is to be dependent on others. [More]
My latest "Rights Watch" column for GUNS Magazine is now online.

Yesterday was my deadline, but I the way things are going, I hope I don't need to rewrite this completely before it goes to the printer.

The Great Outdoors

Another Fudd for Obama says anybody worried about Barry and gun control is a paranoid. [More]

There's something about "sportswriters." That's how Keith Olbermann got his start. And we've revisited Mike Lupica's subversion ad nauseum... And don't get me started on David Petzal...

Vigilante Justice

How dare she take the law into her own hands?  [More]

Doesn't she know if she had let them shoot her, the Bradys could have used this to decry another casualty of "gun violence," and their professional male spokesvictim wouldn't have had to deal with yet another woman showing him how an adult is supposed to behave?
