Holes and Leaks

Step One: Before doing anything else, get this playing in the background.

Ready?

Vanderboegh's got his share of holes and leaks, and not just in his body.  And it looks like things could get interesting mid-week, thunderstorm-wise.

This is only addressed to those who answer "Yes" to the following question-- everyone else go on about your business:

Do you get value from what he does?

If you do, shouldn't you let him know?

When's the last time you sent in a voluntary subscription stipend for services rendered?  Ever?

When's the last time you urged your friends to help?

There's a "Donate" link in the right sidebar over at SSI. If you hate Paypal and refuse to use them, there's always the old-fashioned way at P.O. Box 926, Pinson, AL 35126.

Armed American Radio Redux

Last night was the Alan Korwin experience, all three hours.

I joined in during Hour 3, along with George "Mad Ogre" Hill and Larry Allen from AAR affiliate KROP AM 1300 in Brawley CA.  I had a bit of a disagreement with Alan on the benefit potential an influx of millions of currently illegal aliens will have on gun rights (something I'd discussed at Gun Rights Examiner in June), and hope we'll have time to revisit that in a future program.

Akron shooting shows problem is criminals ‘on the streets,’ not guns

“All these guns on the street! We have to do something about the guns on the street,” Summit County Councilwoman Tamela Lee, who had attended the Bloomberg-funded photo op declared. [More]
This evening's Gun Rights Examiner commentary notes part of the problem may be there are too many "progressive" anti-gun dupes on the street, although you can't tell it by MAIG rally attendance in Akron.

Is This Some Kind of Bust?

Well, it's very impressive, yes, but we need to ask you a few questions... [More]

Such as where are the "fully automatic machine guns" coming from, and have you traced any of the "high capacity assault rifles" to Fast and Furious...?

Bulletproof whiteboards a comic book denial of ‘gun free zone’ realities

The reality is, anyone attempting to stop determined armed attackers holding up a whiteboard is relying on comic book superhero fantasies such as Wonder Woman’s bullet-deflecting bracelets combined with the speed of the Flash. [More]
Today's Gun Rights Examiner report notes the danger in making real life rules based on fantastic fiction. That supposed adults operate under such childish assumptions to deny the rights of those who do not makes this all the more outlandish and offensive.

We're the Only Ones Unsuspecting Enough

Harris County sheriff’s Deputy Brady Pullen is suing the family of a man he shot to death after responding to a 911 call last year, alleging he and other officers were not properly warned about the danger they faced. [More]
Yeah, hell, what kind of psychic powers would it take for a cop to respond to a 911 call to a residence and expect it might involve physical danger?

A Question of Competence

But somehow, with few exceptions, mainstream media ignore the far-more-dangerous clowns in the Obama administration — those whose incompetence in the Fast and Furious scandal has led to human tragedy and deaths. [More]
I would argue that something else led to that, and the incompetence was in their getting caught.

Dancing in the Streets

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn signed a gun-control measure into law on Sunday that expands background checks to cover all firearms purchases in the state, closing what he said was a loophole that exempted gun sales between private parties.   [More]
Thank goodness!  Now peace and harmony are sure to reign!

It's OK, everybody! You can come out now!

Making History

On August 24th, 2013, Arkansas Carry will host the first legal armed citizen assembly in decades (possibly the first such armed gathering since the Civil War) in Fort Smith. [More]
I wonder if Dustin McDaniel is going to pull his pants up long enough to try and do something about it...?  I mean, who better to control us than someone who doesn't control himself?

Limited Return

Unfortunately several of the firearms, including the irreplaceable Japanese Arisaka heirloom war trophy, were damaged due to careless storage. [More]
What do they care?  Evidently, they don't.

It might be fair to ask where else such sloppiness, laziness, inattention to detail and arrogance might manifest itself in their dealings with those they supposedly exist to serve and protect...

Another Gun Death

vLadd & Co. who apparently DO "speak for the women of America," would rather things had ended differently. [More]

Much differently.

Welcome violent criminals! [More]

Enough with the Hyperbole

"These vetoes put gun-banning politicians on notice that exploiting tragedy to advance an agenda against legal gun owners, instead of punishing violent criminals, will not be entertained." [More]
First of all, it's not like he's pro-gun.

It's not like he didn't just sign off on plenty of other intolerable acts.

And it's not like in this latest move he didn't just throw people doing his bidding under the bus in order to advance his ambitions to the national stage.

Let's not delude anyone with rhetoric here.  Of course it will be entertained. Every damn chance the antis get.  And Christie will do whatever serves his interests at the time.

UPDATE: Kurt has lots more.

We're the Only Ones Normal Enough

An FBI spokeswoman confirmed that it was at the office “performing normal law enforcement activities” but declined to offer specifics. [More]
This is normal?
