True, it happened to me one time two decades ago, with the two-legged kind, and I was able to dissuade further approach toward myself, my wife and infant son simply by producing a tool of discouragement, but that was then, this is now, and besides, being in Southern California, I was guilty of being one of those "gun criminals" the "enforce existing gun laws" crowd says "make us all look bad," so it would hardly be pragmatic and responsible to endorse that.
