Headline-Hungry 'Progressive' Pol Attaches Name to Bigger One

A House Democrat has unveiled legislation aimed at forcing Donald Trump to prove he's declining to release his tax returns because of an ongoing IRS audit. Rep. Jared Huffman’s (D-Calif.) bill would require presidential and vice presidential candidates to include a statement from the Treasury secretary confirming whether or not the IRS is auditing their federal income tax returns as part of financial disclosure reports. I gotta admit, it's an ulla sella move, requiring a response in kind. But he knows there's not a chance in hell -- well, technically 3% (!) -- this will pass.

I'm all for transparency with politicians. Start with Barack and Hillary. I'm also all for fighting for my life, and here's what Huffman et al want to impose:

How stupid. Since any executive has the power to have the opposing party’s candidate audited pretty much at whim, what would it prove?
