More White House Inspiration

I'm on the White House email list. This one came in the other day:
L.L. Cool J? The guy who said "I wanna take my gun and shoot you in your muthafuckin' face"...?

Yeah, I guess if you're going to host political messages from a guy who made a fortune in thugwear, you gotta have street cred.  Wish I had more time to explore that topic, but I don't.

What an appropriate role model for Obama's to be promoting while he seeks to disarm you and me.

Boss Hogg-set

We need to start focusing on how one acquires those powerful weapons that serve no real sporting or recreational purpose... [More]
Opposite Day "progressives" sure have a thing for recycling old ideas.

Soylent Green is People!

With the abject failure of Britain’s youth to rise to the democratic challenge (ie, to pull their fingers out in time to register to vote), I am advocating a total ban on anyone of retirement age voting in the EU referendum as the only effective way stopping the Leave campaign. This idea hardened for me after a long conversation with my father, which included the words “conspiracy”, “the central powers” and “they hate us”. [More]
Age discrimination -- how very "progressive." Why not just cut to the chase and give them all a shot? Or better yet, put them on the renewal carousel?

Do you think George Chesterton understands what a monster he is?

We're the Only Ones Home-Wrecking Enough

A Fort Lauderdale firefighter and a Plantation police officer were arrested in Tennessee after deputies accused them of striking three occupied homes with bullets while taking late-night target practice. [More]
Maybe they were just trying to give their first second responder pals a chance to show everyone how much they're needed...

JPFO Now Backing 'Gun Control'

What else would you call an email blast and site link to post a Faux News video gushing favorably over the NRA/Cornyn Due Process Suspension Act without defining the dangerous secret "due process" disconnect (start at 1:23 in video)? [More]

We don't need ANY new "gun control." Not only doesn't it work, it still ends up scapegoating gun availability and ignores the inconvenient reality that anyone who can't be trusted with a gun can't be trusted without a custodian. If there are terrorists in this country, look at how they got here and are still getting in here.

That, of course, would require taking Islamophile/Bloomberg immigration pal Grover Norquist to task, and the new JPFO head honcho, along with the "it's not the single issue" faction has no interest in admitting that -- for transparent reasons that do nothing to refute the "pathway to citizenship" threat argument.

Ms. Dash's heart is in the right place, but she's only splashing in the shallow end of the pool and is not yet ready for deeper waters. I guess that makes her perfect for a sound bite audience.

I don't believe Aaron Zelman would have approved.

Foolish Pride

It goeth before the fall. [More]

I'm sure some monster likely to open fire on them will be more than deterred by the reference to Texas Penal Code (and no, I'm not gonna go there). Unless the parade takes place on confined private property I'm not seeing where a peaceable gun owner wouldn't be well within his rights to tell them to go do to themselves that which they pridefully distinguish themselves by.

Anybody got a specific section cite that says otherwise?

UPDATE: I guess the parade has already come and gone? I didn't read the linked article thoroughly enough, I guess.  And don't care enough about "progressive" group gropes to do additional looking up...

We're the Only Ones Damned with Faint Praise Enough

"Being a victim of a crime is unnerving, yet it was reassuring to witness both speed and diligence from the Sanford Police Department," Triplett said, according to the station. [More]
Sounds like he was in no position to tell them "That's close enough" and back it up if that didn't break their momentum and confidence.

I wonder how reassured he felt when the gun was in his face. Since they were nowhere around when the crime occurred, he's fortunate to be alive to make any kind of statement.

Let's see, three suspects, one still at large... How does it help not to give the public a description again?

At least we know he's a "teen."

We're the Only Ones Arming Enough

Nine-hundred and forty-four guns. From Glocks, Sig Sauers and Remingtons to sniper and assault rifles, some equipped with grenade launchers. They used to belong to law enforcement officers across California, but a new Bay Area News Group investigation found hundreds of police-issued weapons have been either stolen, lost or can’t be accounted for since 2010, often disappearing onto the streets without a trace. [More]
Oh, that must be why we need more controls on non-"Only Ones."

After Fast and Furious, I gotta wonder how much of this is criminal negligence and how much is intended to drive up "gun violence," to make the call for more "common sense gun safety laws" sound more appealing to the spooked herd.

Gaining Ground?

Clinton gains ground over Trump in two new national polls [More]
I don't believe it. Especially not after Brexit.

Hey, aren't I the guy who cites polls to make my case on "pathway to citizenship" cultural terraforming?  What gives?

I can't access the Wall Street Journal/NBC poll, but I note the WaPo/ABC poll is of "registered voters" as opposed to "high propensity voters."

I also note media pushing this, including Faux News, a.k.a. the Murdoch Family Trust, is all out for more "legal" immigration and amnesty for the illegals.

I see this as an attempt to inject an unelectabilty / foregone defeatist conclusion into any who would oppose Hillary, primarily to dampen enthusiasm, derail momentum and discourage turnout.  And the not-so-silent partners in this are the establishment Republicans, desperate to regain control from the rebels, and viewing helping with their rout and blaming their rebellion against "experienced counsel" as the best way to drive them humbled back into the fold.

Not Without a Fight

We're the Only Ones Uncharged Enough

Peel Police told CBC that no charges have been laid against the officer. [More]
And perhaps that will turn out to be appropriate, but what strikes me is the absence of both a name for "the officer" and any evident follow-up with additional details in the three days since this story was filed.

A Surprise Visit

If she's so supportive, why won't she step out of the closet and prove it? If the whole point is "pride," what is she ashamed of? [More]

For "progressives," every day is Opposite Day.

That's why, in a post-Orlando world, where we're still not sure how much of the body count was "friendly," they're desperately pushing the lie that police are the "Only Ones" who can be trusted with a monopoly of violence.

Just like at Stonewall:

Funny, how discriminating against some "lifestyles" is still considered "progressive."
